holy shit. the ending made me go WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT I DONT EVEN when I first beat it, and I was just going um wat and put it off as another bullshit final fantasy ending that I made myself forget about because the rest of the game was so awesome.
now it makes complete sense. i looked around for anyone else describing it in any other manner that makes that much sense, and this is by far the best theory ever. its like when you find out you are, in fact, revan in KOTOR except this time it's happening to me 12 years later. I mean, there are a few really easy holes in this theory, but it does rather perfectly explain at least the ending sequence and makes me shit myself.
TLDR: THE WHOLE FUCKING GAME AFTER DISC 1 WAS SQUALL HAVING A DREAM RIGHT BEFORE HE DIES, EXPLAINING WHY ALL OF IT WAS SO BATSHIT CRAZY.
AND ITS SQUALLS FINAL FANTASY LOL EXPLAINING THE NAME OF THE FRANCHISE THOUGH I CANT FIT A SIMILAR PLOT ON TO ANYTHING BUT X EASILY HOOOO
